Okay, so I have just started reading this book that teaches you techniques to remember things easier and I am actually enjoying and absorbing the information like a sponge! The book is called the Memory Book by Harry Lorayne and Jerry Lucas. I love to use my imagination but I have never used it to remember things! I didn’t realize that our imagination was more important than just coming up with new ideas; it helps us also to remember. Our imagination is something that a lot of people take for granite and loose as they get older. As children we constantly used our imagination and we used it to live life; this is why it is so much easier for us to remember things from our childhood than our adulthood (I got that info from the book too). The book links our imagination with remembering by making an association. I have already started to remember the techniques in this book and I am not even half way through the book yet. I use my imagination everyday but I have never used it this much and not on this level. Who would known that my imagination could do more for me than get me in trouble while I was in school?

I have been busy lately both in the studio and out. If I am not in the studio, I am busy with the family, and now I am also going through a leadership class. Why? So that I can develop my business and to learn more of what it takes to be an effective leader from other people’s experiences. Even though I have been a manager many times I still have a lot to learn. I know I don’t have all of the answers. So, I am always looking for the answers and ways to apply them.

One of my tasks coming up is to write a paper on a person who I think is a good leader and why? To be honest I am a little stumped because my vision of a leader doesn’t exist. There has been no one on earth to totally unify everyone but, that is neither here nor there. So I will continue to search aimlessly through my brain for a person who I think is a good leader. Once I have picked one I will let you know.

I have been doing a lot of writing lately. I have been working on a couple of spoofs and one superhero scripts that are in the draft stages. So hopefully soon you will be able to hear them. Oh, I forgot to mention these are theater of the mind scripts meaning voice only.
